Alexis Sanchez has scored just two goals for Manchester United this season

Sanchez arrived to a great fanfare in January 2018, signing a four-and-a-half year contract at 500,000-per-week.But the forward, who boasted an incredible scoring record for the Gunners, has been a huge flop for the Red Devils.The 30-year-old was directly involved in 125 goals (scoring 80, assisting 45) in 166 games for Arsenal. He has managed just five goals and nine assists for United, however.Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is preparing for a summer clear out, which Sanchez is widely expected to be a part of, and latest reports claim the club could have to pay the forward 12million for him NOT TO PLAY for them next season. According to the Daily Mirror, Inter Milan are interested in taking Sanchez on a season-long loan, but United would still have to pay half his wage – 250,000-a-week.Those reports outraged Sports Breakfast host Alan Brazil who said on Wednesday morning: Is that not what is wrong with football? 12million NOT to play? Thats a kings ransom! Its a joke, Im sick of it!But co-host Parlour conceded the game has been this way for a while, and revealed his shock at how Sanchez career has spiralled.Football went that way a long time ago, said the Arsenal legend.There have been so many players who have been frozen out but theyre on such good contracts that they say, OK, Ill sit in the reserves for three years.
