Former Liverpool star Graeme Souness believes Daniel Sturridge will be angry with himself when he retires.The Scot, who won five top-flight titles with the Reds between 1978 and 1984, has also questioned the 29-year-olds attitude.2

Sturridges career has been plagued by injury and the striker is likely to leave Liverpool when his contract expires on June 30 after starting just four Premier League games this season.He has played second fiddle to Roberto Firmino for most of Jurgen Klopps spell as Reds boss.Souness told Sky Sports: “Hes one of those boys wholl finish his career, look back and think I didnt make the most of what God gave me.“I think hes wonderfully talented. Great touch. When you have someone like him, so much ability, on a daily basis in training, youd think why cant he have a pint of energy on matchdays?Id have him in front of [Divock] Origi, but Im not saying hes someone you can trust.2

Souness has suggested the former Chelsea forwards warm-up routine could be a cause of his injury problems.He added: I watched a game a few years ago, going through the motions in a warm-up – no wonder you get injured when you come on as a sub.“I might be wrong, he might be a demon in training, but hes a man whos got so much ability, hell finish his career and be angry with himself.”
